Drone attack in Russia’s Voronezh region kills two, injures 17, governor says

A drone attack in Russia’s Voronezh region killed two men and injured 17 people, including a child, regional governor Alexander Gusev said on Monday, October 26.

Regional authorities said air defences had intercepted 113 drones overnight and that fires broke out at several industrial sites. Russian Railways reported that a passenger train travelling from Anapa to Moscow was damaged and five passengers were injured. Rail services through the region were suspended.

Reuters said it could not independently verify the reports. The governor’s account did not provide independently confirmed details about who carried out the attack.
