Russian strikes have disrupted key bridges across the Dnipro River in Kyiv, causing major traffic problems and affecting daily life in the Ukrainian capital.
According to Ukrainian officials, drone attacks targeted infrastructure around the Southern Bridge for a second consecutive day. Parts of several bridges were closed or restricted, leaving commuters facing long delays between the two banks of the city.
The disruption is particularly significant because a large share of Kyiv residents live on the left bank of the Dnipro while many workplaces and public services are located on the right bank.
Ukrainian authorities also reported further attacks in other parts of the country. Officials in Kharkiv said a guided bomb strike caused casualties, while Ukrainian forces continued attacks against Russian energy infrastructure.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called for additional international support, including air-defence ammunition, as Kyiv prepares for the coming winter and remains concerned about attacks on critical infrastructure.
The latest strikes add to continuing pressure on Ukraine’s transport and energy infrastructure as the war enters another winter.
